As all the cloth is handmade, colours, sizes and designs can vary-
Average sizes:
Small - 90 x 125cm
Large – 120 X 190cm

This cloth comes from the Mossi tribe of West Africa where cotton has been cultivated for more than 100 years.
The older women spin the cotton, after which the men, using narrow loom, weave long thin strips which are then sewn together. The design is created with indigo in the ancient tradition. As all the cloth is handmade, colours, sizes and designs can vary.

This cloth comes from the Fula tribe of West Africa. Indigo is one of Africa’s most important plant dyes and has been used for many centuries.
The cotton is dyed with leaves from the Ngara tree, and the traditional methods of stitch-resist and tie-dye are used to create pattering. As all the cloth is handmade, colours, sizes and designs can vary.

Ethiopian jewellery – This range consists of a combination of gemestones indigenous to African with hand made pendants from the highlands of Ethiopia. The silver teslum, worn by the Oromo women cinsists of triangular pendants which are believed to protect against the evil eye, and cresent shaped pendants which summon the power of the cresent moon.

The silver clove beads of phallic design are a symbol of fertility. The crosses, which are often named after the towns they represent, have been worn for 1000’s of years by the Christian Ethiopians as a sign of commitment to their religion.
